We are an American company located in Austin, Texas. Since we were founded in 2018, we have helped thousands of international students from all over the world achieve their academic dreams. We have received several awards, such as the Student Loan Innovation award and the BBB Acreditted Business award. We have also received hundreds of thank-you letters from international students thanking us for our service and telling us their stories of how their international education helped them achieve their dreams.

We started as a small company led by two young and ambitious investors, Johan Both and Myra Mahato. They were both international students who had to sacrifice a lot to come to study in the USA. Johan's parents had to sell their house back in South Africa to be able to afford just 1 year of tuition at the University of Pennsylvania. Myra had to beg her uncle to sell his small car dealership in Delhi to afford tuition at the University of Washington. It was very tough for them, but once they did get to the United States they were able to find a side job on campus and pay for the rest of their tuition.

After meeting other international students in similar situations, they realized the struggles these students face when going to study in the US, as well as other countries in the West. That is when they decided to cofound Brave Financing, a company made of a passionate team of global citizens who have the ambitious goal of helping all international students afford their education abroad. We believe everyone deserves a quality education, no matter their ethnicity or financial background.
